My name is Bill, and I'm
a husband, father of two boys, and an associate Professor of engineering and physics at
Northampton Community College.
I'm also the contemporary worship leader at
Grace Church. I'm in my
11th year of teaching, after spending the better part of 10 years working
for the U.S. Navy at a research laboratory in Washington, DC.
While in DC i played on the Hijinks indoor volleyball team, and
spent weekends at the beach. Musically i formed Fools In
Flannel with Mike and Mike, helped Matt open
Action Music, and formed
Classic Snack with Matt, George, & Jim (time for a reunion
gig guys!).
During my time in DC i went on the Walk To Emmaus (thanks Pete),
which had a significant impact on my spiritual walk with God.
As a result, musically i moved from playing classic rock covers to
leading worship at my home church
and various seminars and retreats throughout the year.
Before that I spent some years in school hanging with two guys named Ferg and Rubiks at "the Run," with ILO and Romo in a
Sigma Chi "air band", and with Nothel running fluid
experiments. And between games of pinball and playing guitar
and wiffle ball, I got my B.S. & M.S. degrees in Mechanical
Engineering
at Bucknell
University.
As for all the 'free' time I have when I'm not teaching? I spend
it with
my beautiful wife and my sons Liam Allen &
Lucas Eric,
and my family, most of whom live within a few blocks.
You can usually find me either at home, with my
guitar,
at
Grace
Church
leading worship, or dreaming of the beach and surfing. Any
extra time is spent writing worship
music and trying to get my mountain bike out of the basement.
