I'm
a husband, father of two boys, physics professor, worship leader,
and songwriter. I'm in my 11th year of teaching, after spending the
better part of 10 years working for the U.S. Navy at a research
laboratory in Washington, DC. While in DC, i formed the
cover
band Fools In Flannel, helped open a music store, and formed Classic
Snack playing classic rock covers. I also went on the Walk To
Emmaus, which had a significant impact on my spiritual walk with
God.
As a result, musically I moved from playing classic rock covers to
leading worship at my home church and various seminars and retreats
throughout the year. Since moving back to my hometown in 1997, I've
continued leading worship in my home church and recently released my
first worship CD "My
Creator" (photos
here of CD, shows, and friends).
As for all the 'free' time I have when I'm not teaching? I spend it
with my beautiful wife and my sons Liam Allen & Lucas Eric, and my
family, most of whom live within a few blocks. You can usually find
me either at home, with my guitar, at Grace Church leading worship,
or dreaming of the beach and surfing. Any extra time is spent
writing worship music and talking about getting my mountain bike out of the
basement.
